Tacloban has new police chief
TACLOBAN CITY – The new City Police Director, Sr. Supt. Sergio Dimandal assured that he would focus on the security of schools and the students in Tacloban and maintain the peace and order in the city.
“The PNP group should meet the standards under my leadership; the police officers should pay attention to their colleagues, must wear proper uniform and must have good attitude. In short they must be professional,” Dimandal said.
Dimandal said that first thing he would do is to meet all local leaders to ask their help in stopping bad elements in the city.
“I will talk to my people so that I can familiarize as what the outgoing leader did and as of now, we’re not yet focusing on the election. Hindi pa naman po ako sinabihan,” Dimandal said.
Dimandal clarified also to the public that he was not forced and that there was no politics involved in his appointment as Police City Director of Tacloban. (SYLVIA ALVERO ABADINGO)
