PPC encourages schools to organize Stamp Club
TACLOBAN CITY — Because of new technology, there has been a decrease on the number of people using postal letters or “slow mails.”
“The basic mission of the Philippine Postal Corporation is to deliver and have a daily dispatch of mails all over the country but it seems that every year the mails that we received is decreasing,” PPC Regional Director Fabiolita P. Ferraris said.
As the Christmas season approaches, they expect mails to be decreasing.
The PPC Regional Director said he is alarmed by this situation so she encouraged schools to organize a stamp club that can help the local mail industry in terms of collecting stamps.
“We would like to arouse the interest of the children and improve their art in writing,” Ferraris said. With this, she hopes that the students can see the advantages and importance of sending postal letters, because they can share knowledge and they can see the beauty of nature and our history through the stamps.
