Police arrest biggest drug dealer in Ormoc City
PALO, Leyte –Police operatives conducted a successful drug operation in Ormoc City last Saturday resulting to the arrest of the biggest drug dealer of shabu.
Senior Supt. Nilo Donayre, chief of police, disclosed that 19 pieces of small and medium plastic sachets containing white substance suspected to be shabu were confiscated by operatives of the Intelligence Division Management Anti Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Force (IDM-AIDSOTF) during a raid in the room of suspect Rodolfo Bilmoro in Mabini Street.
Donayre said in a phone interview that Bilmoro, 42, the alleged drug supplier, is a resident of said place and the raid was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Apolinario Buaya of RTC Branch 35.
Police Insp. Ariel Nuñez, chief of the IDM-AIDSOTF of the OCPO who led the operation, said it was a month-long monitoring and surveillance of the suspect until the operatives confirmed that he was indeed involved in drug peddling.
Nuñez alo said that his operatives conducted tests-buy from the suspect whose items were tested positive of shabu during laboratory testing.
It was learned that the suspected pusher is considered to be the biggest dealer of shabu in the area with a supplier who is from Mindanao.
It was learned that the different couriers used by his supplier in delivering the supply to the apprehended suspect gives the local police a hard time to make an arrest.
Most of the items seized by the police during the raid was supposedly a supply for drug users who used to attend local cock derbies, Nuñez said.
“We are closely monitoring other illegal drug activities in the city in cooperation with the PDEA hoping all personalities identified in drug peddling will be neutralized in cooperation and support of the local leaders and the community.. I knew we in the PNP cannot do this alone, the involvement of the community in this kind of campaign would be a big help,” Donayre said.
