PCSO donates new ambulance
TACLOBAN CITY- Through the effort of Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated a new ambulance for the city hospital last October 30.
According to Ronnie Cornico, executive assistant, this ambulance is worth more than P300,000. This was bought through a shared amount coming from PCSO that contributed 60% of the amount and 40% from the local government.
Cornico added that the ambulance is fully air-conditioned and completely loaded with medical kit, stretcher and oxygen.
November 3, 2009 was the fist operation of the ambulance for public service.
This is a joint project of the PCSO and the union of local authorities of the Philippines. (Marjorie Karen T. Onyot-LNU Intern)
