OWWA to hold financial learning campaign
TACLOBAN CITY – The Overseas Worker Welfare Administration in partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas will be conducting a Financial Learning Campaign on November 6 at the University of the Philippines, this City.
It is a half day event wherein at 12:30 it is the registration and the said session will be held at 1 to 5 in the afternoon.
Jeffrey Signo, family welfare officer, said the speakers of the said campaign are from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and they will be discussing about business endeavors or tips in handling finances and a campaign for financial literacy.
“Aside from being able to get information on how to manage their finances, how they will get involve in business and undergo business that it will prosper not only for a year but for several years, so probably those are the main goal of the session or orientation.” Signo sad.
He also said that they are tasked by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to invite more or less 120 participants who are OFWs and their beneficiaries. As of now they have 50 registered participants, and they are still inviting other OFWs to participate in the said session or orientation. (JEAN MAE M. AGULLO, LNU Intern)
