Media personalities join local politics
TACLOBAN CITY– Several members of media have entered into the world of politics as another way of serving the public.
Among those who filed their certificate of candidacy were Reyan Arinto, a writer of Leyte Samar Daily Express, who is seeking reelection in his hometown of Tunga, Leyte and Rowel Montes who is running for mayor in Balangkayan, Eastern Samar.
Eric Tupaz of Livewire is running for councilor in Dulag, Leyte, while Mark Morallos of Livewire, Chito Morante of DYVL and Neil Glova, anchorman of DYVL, are also running for councilor in Tacloban City.
Bob Abellanosa, manager and broadcaster of ABC 5, has filed his candidacy for mayor of Tacloban City under the banner of the Liberal Party. (SYLVIA ALVERO ABADINGO)
