Arriving OFWs in Cebu to receive grand welcome from SMART

Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART), in partnership with the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority, is holding the 2009 Smart Pinoy OFW Grand Pamaskong Salubong. This is the third consecutive year that SMART is holding the event at the international airport, as a grand welcome for returning Filipinos. This year, the event is made even more special by the prizes at stake.

From now until January 30, 2010, all arriving Filipino passengers at the Mactan International Airport in Cebu will get a chance to “pick-a-prize” and receive premium items from the Smart Pinoy booths in the area.

All arriving Filipino passengers may also play the “Break-the-Code, Win-a-Car” daily game, for a chance to take home a brand-new Nissan Grand Livina multi-purpose vehicle, just by trying their luck in breaking a 5-digit code.

In addition, all arriving Filipino passengers that have a SMART pre- or postpaid subscription can also register and join the Grand Raffle Draw for a chance to win a Nissan Grand Livina MPV and a house-and-lot package from Camella Homes.

To join the Grand Raffle Draw for a chance to receive either a Nissan Grand Livina or a Camella Homes house and lot package, arriving Filipino passengers just need to register their SMART SIMs at the Smart Pinoy booth to automatically earn one electronic raffle entry.

Participants may increase their chances of winning by earning one electronic raffle entry for every SMART international usage (IDD, international SMS, international MMS, international video call, international voice SMS and roaming). Winners will be drawn on February 19, 2010.

SMART is the Filipinos’ biggest mobile network to the world, serving 39.1 million subscribers on its GSM network as of end-September 2009. Its products and services are available in over 200 countries abroad in partnership with over 400 network operators.

SMART also recently introduced Hellow, the country’s first reloadable IDD card which can be used on any SMART or Talk ‘N Text celphone, to make crystal-clear calls from anywhere in the country for as low as P2.50 per minute to 17 key destinations, via sachet-sized load denominations of as low as P15.
