Aquino, Villar most trusted by Pinoys in SWS survey
Two incumbent senators, who are running for president in the May 2010 polls, were the most trusted personalities, according to a national survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
Sen. Benigno Aquino III, Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer, and Sen. Manny Villar, running for president under the Nacionalista Party (NP), were statistically tied in first place as shown by the November 4-8 survey.
Aquino got a net rating of +71 while Villar got a net +70. The survey with 1,200 respondents, have a margin of error of +-3%. Puerto Princesa City Mayor Edward Hagedorn commissioned the survey.
Villar and Aquino were followed by Sen. Manuel Roxas II, LP vice presidential bet, with +65. Sen. Loren Legarda, running mate of Villar, scored +56.
Also in the list were Sen. Francis Escudero with +54, Vice President Noli De Castro with +16 and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay with +13.
In the survey, respondents were asked: “Pag-usapan po natin and tungkol sa ilang personalidad. Sa mga sumusunod, maaari po bang sabihin ninyo kung ang pagtitiwala ninyo kay (personality) ay napakalaki, medyo malaki, hindi tiyak kung malaki o maliit, medyo maliit, napakaliit, o wala pa kayong narinig o nabasa maski ano kahit na kailan tungkol kay (name)?”
Aquino got 80% much trust, 10% undecided and 9% little trust. Villar got 79% much trust, 11% undecided and 10% little trust. (PR)
